Covid-19 Service Updates

We are available to see your pet for all health care needs.

We continue to limit physical contact to comply with Guidelines issued by the Public Health Agency of Canada as directed by our governing body the College of Veterinarians of Ontario. These policies are in place to protect the health and safety of our clients and our team.

OUR DOOR IS LOCKED

Please call when you arrive at the hospital 905-331-1500 and wait in your vehicle. We will assist you when we can safely do so. When you bring your pet for an appointment, please have them on a leash or in a carrier so they will be secure while transferring from your vehicle in our parking lot.  When we are ready to see your pet, we will take them from you at our door, keeping at a safe physical distance and examine them in the hospital while you wait in your vehicle. The doctor will call you with any questions and to discuss a treatment plan. Once all procedures are completed we will call you to meet at the door again to retrieve your pet.

The following video by Dr Scott Weese at the Ontario Veterinary College illustrates our protocol.

We consider our pets to be important family members and we know you feel the same way about yours. Our goal has always been to keep them healthy, comfortable and protected from illness. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, reducing the risk of infection in the community is now a major part of our focus. Please help us by:

  • Maintaining a safe physical distance of at least 2 metres from other clients
  • Washing your hands frequently

If you feel unwell, or are self-isolating after contact with someone who has Covid-19, please let us know so we can take extra precautions to protect our team. Please send your pet with a trusted friend or family member so you can stay home.

We will continue to dispense Prescription Medications and as in previous years we strongly recommend parasite prevention with the warm weather finally arriving.

We have already removed several ticks from dogs this spring.

Prescription diets are available but we can no longer expect next day delivery. Please order 5 days in advance of when you will need it.

Food and Medication are available through curbside pickup.
